Well hello there blogger world.
Sometimes I hate the fact that I really like that song from the Breaking Dawn movie.. (commercial just came on). Back to it....
Collin and I just got back from New York. What a wonderful time... probably would of been a little better if every so often I wouldn't have told Collin I was sick of walking like it was his personal fault my feet were hurting....... although it sort of is, but that's besides the point. The point is, we did a lot of walking. We did a lot of stuff in general. Collin and I had some of the best pizza in 'meria (America). People keep asking what the best part of the trip was.. I would have to say probably the first couple hours we were there. There is really nothing like New York, I've lived in Berlin, been to San Francisco but there is nothing like Standing in Time Square at 6:00am. Everything we did was a wonderful experience... And ever since seeing Lion King on Broadway every moment when I'm not talking or thinking of something This song pops in my head.. That very beginnning part with the chats...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=337-X4msyFY
Its a wonderful song... It's probably popped in my head because for the last 2 days it is all I have listened too, but today I didn't even listen too... but still there it is..."he lives in you!"... It's all I hear....... That show was amazing by the way. I can't imagine ANYWAY not liking it.
Which leads me to my next topic. I'm sure you were wondering why I didn't listen to that song today. It is a valid questions...That's because I obviously need to get ready for the fact that in 3 days I will be staring Celine Dion in 'her face. I've loved Celine for as long as I can remember. I have wonderful memories with listening to her CD by myself and with friends, but mostly by myself.. in my car, because that's when i can sing the loudest. I sound JUST like her. I have found friends with this common interest... and finally we are able to band together, some funds and make the trek to Vegas to see her Majesty live. I can't wait.... and yes... I'll most likely shed a tear, or 67. whatev's.
Anywhooooo.... have I mentioned living with a boy is difficult? This boy seems to rinse out a dish then set it on the counter right above the dishwasher.. because obviously opening the dishwasher is strenuous. The best is the other day as I am making dinner, putting groceries away, doing the laundry and walking back and forth cleaning the house and my wonderful hard working husband (who just told me he doesn't even have to go to class anymore) was sitting on the sofa watching TV and playing something on this phone. The part that makes me smile.... I walked by him and for a brief moment we made eye contact.. and for anyone that is married knows that eye contact you make when your husband knows he should probably get his cute butt off the sofa... and sure enough I get an instant "Oh Katie I love you so much!" in that playful tone and he walks over to give me that hug...
I love it...
and also.. we have cute matching tooth brushes now. MONEY.

New York State of Mind...
So, talk about too many blogs in a week.. but I can't pass up the opportunity to ask people, that have been to New York, what they would suggest doing??
Collin finished his last finals today, finalllllllly! He is so smart :). So proud of him! Another quarter of school down and out. So next week is his spring break, and I am taking 4 days off and we wanted to go on a adventure.... so we landed on New York City. The prices was just too right. We are so excited. Neither of us have been, and just have list and list of things we want to do.
I want to eat a hot dog in Central Park, See Grand Central Station, Visit the LDS Temple (duh), Towers memorial, Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty..... But I can't help but feel like there is so much we are missing! Oh yeah, and Lion King on Broadway.. duh.
We leave here 10:30pm Wednesday, fly all night and land in New York City at 4:30 in the morning... Collin says, "We are going to be so tired and it's going to be awesome!!" We plan on sleeping little, walking lots, being freezing, eating so much, taking pictures, and defiantly getting a I heart NY t shirt!
So, back to my point of this... are there any places we MUST go! We figured some places we can see, like the statue of liberty without necessarily going in... but there is so much!!
So, let me know... and expect a blog with pictures, stories and so much more to come.
Booya...

Hit and Run
Well, we all know what you think of when you hear "hit and run"... for Collin and I, it was a strange moment.
We were leaving Fry's Electronic's last week, waiting at the red arrow when all of a sudden there was a slight jerk forward in the car.. for a second I thought Collin Stalled the car... then remembering my car is not a stick shift we both looked back and saw a lady... most likely between the ages of 75-80 slowly backing her car up.
Me: Did she just hit us?
Collin: What the heck.
Then she started waving (which later we found out was a thumbs up).... but then the light turned green. We weren't really sure what to do, we didn't want to hold up traffic.. so we decided that we would go through the light, and then hopefully the lady would follow us to pull over... NOPE. She just drove right on by. So naturally.. I told Collin to follow her... we followed her for about 5 min..
Collin was saying things like "this is the weirdest thing I have ever done"and "how long am Ï supposed to follow her for?"
My responses... "seriously, THIS is the weirdest thing you have ever done"and "Until she freaking stops!"....
Well, we finally pulled up next to her, she rolls down her window... we roll down ours.
Collin: Excuse me, but you hit our car, so can you pull over so we can look at it with you?
Lady: Oh, don't worry, I was giving you the thumbs up, I looked and nothing happened to the car!
Collin: Can you just pull over anyway.
So she does... in the most random and worst spot possible. Shocker.
I look at the back of my car, nothing... duh. But I walk up to her say Hi tell her nothing is wrong we just wanted to make sure, and we both look at the front of her car.. just to see if anything happened... there is a small scratch..
Me: Oh, it looks like there is a little scratch, was that there before?
Lady: Oh yes yes, that's just some cat pee... don't worry about that!
Me: What the?!
Anyway........ just a little old lady story.
Can I just say that I cant believe February has almost come and gone.. what is the deal with time moving faster as I get older? In a couple days Collin and I have been married for 2 months... booya, practically ancient we are. In a couple days after that it will be my 2 years of being a member of the LDS church. Things are getting crazy up in here.
Anyway... its been a long day, and its far to late to be awake, let alone be blogging. Collin has a couple more days of Finals then he is off for spring break.. and we have a little tripped planned and we are so excited for it!
Anyway.. night all.. or good morning... whichever.
